ISLAND SOCIAL CLUB, LONDON

Island Social Club’s purpose is food and beyond. It's unique and uber creative in everything from the food to the events offered It's all about community and a vision to explore and share brilliant Caribbean heritage- from island to contemporary Black British culture. The space is designed to be a clear representation of modern London life. Island Social Club was founded by Caribbean Londoners, and aims to re-root British Caribbean culture in Hackney by producing undiluted and exciting encounters between food, drink and people. With a nightly combination of Rum and Roti from Marie Mitchell and Joseph Pilgrim, alongside a curated events programme, Island Social Club aims to fill the void left by the erosion of London’s once thriving Caribbean social scene.

A long-time resident of South London, Brian’s instincts led him to open his first restaurant in Brixton Village in 2012. Continuing in the spirit of his grandmother, Brian incorporates family and community into everything he does. LEVI ROOTS CARIBBEAN SMOKEHOUSE

The famous Reggaepreneur, TV personality and hot sauce creatory has finally opened his dream restaurant in East London. Serving fantastic Jerk Chicken amongst other traditional Caribbean favourites, including smoked meats and vegetables all finished the real jerk pit.

New Style Caribbean food - Mama’s Jerk BBQ prides itself on its Marinade Recipe which was originally made the founder's late Nan, Mama Charlotte. She was called Mama by every one in town, and so Mama's Jerk got its name. Excellent reputation and affordable.

Turtle Bay the fun and funky Caribbean social has locations across the UK from Brixton to Cardiff, including Bath and Bournmouth. Super cool decor and a chilled hang out vibe its a great place to meet friends and socialise. Good cocktails and easy food. We love the chilli squid.

RUM KITCHEN, LONDON

Fun and fabulous Rum and Caribbean food bar for a lively night out. With 2 London locations in West End and Brixton (all locations resonate with the history and culture of the Caribbean migration to UK). Rum Kitchen combines great food, drinks and dancing. It's hip and happening and we think it gets the menu just about right. We frequent both locations and haven't been disappointed yet.

Reggie’s Caribbean cuisine is a family business serving authentic Trinidadian cuisine and homemade ice cream. It's just outside historic Harlesden and definitely worth the journey. Harlesden like Brixton played a massive role in making Reggae international.

Ochi Carribean Takeaway is a London favourite for authentic Caribbean cuisine. Rihanna is said to be a regular when in town. It opened on 17th August 1996 Marcus Garvey's earthday. They are located in West London near Shepherd's Bush Market station (Circle & Hammersmith & City lines). A few minutes walk from West Field and a short journey from London's West End.
